Make this free Cricut card featuring a lock and Key SVG design for Valentine’s Day
If you’re a fan of the romantic and decorative style reminiscent of Marie Antoinette, this Valentine’s Day Cricut card with a lock and key design free SVG design is the perfect choice.
The inspiration for this card came from a drawing of an ornate lock that had been in my sketchbook for years. I finally decided to bring it to life! The card’s theme makes it not only suitable for Valentine’s Day but also for various occasions like graduation or a birthday for a fan of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.”
As always, feel free to play with different color schemes and styles to suit the occasion and the recipient’s taste. I had originally cut it all out in white, thinking I could juxtapose the ornate design with simplicity. For the sake of photographing the design best so that you could see the details (white on white can sometimes be difficult to photograph!) I then decided to glitter different elements. Whether you prefer an elegant or whimsical look, the choice is yours!
Key to My Heart
To enhance the romantic feel of the card, a vintage key is adhered inside. This thoughtful detail adds a symbolic touch, perfect for expressing sentiments like “you hold the key to my heart.” If you want to go a step further, consider adding a heart to the inside of the card for an extra embellishment.
