Pop-Up Christmas Bouquet Cricut Envelope Card – CACS Holiday Edition

It’s Day 5 of the Craft a Card Stash (CACS) Holiday Edition!

To grab today’s free design, simply sign up for the CACS Holiday Edition emails here, and you’ll find the download link in your fifth email.

Opening this special envelope reveals a stunning pop-up bouquet of paperwhites and amaryllises. I love how the card itself is built directly into the envelope, with space to write a message and even add a gift card in the pocket.

For today’s design, an envelope with a liner is needed. You can use any standard envelope and create your own liner, or choose an SVG file that includes one. I used the Lily SVG design from my Bespoke Cards and Envelopes SVG Bundle. (Get 30% off with the code HOLIDAYCARDSTASH until Sunday!)

  2. Attach the Score Lines: In the layers panel, select the loose lines on top the flowers and change from a cut line to a score line under the operations panel. Then, attach them to the flowers by selecting both the flower and the score line, and clicking “Attach” at the bottom of the layers panel.
  3. Cut Out the Pop-Up Elements: Follow the prompts in Design Space for scoring and cutting.

Step 2: Making your Envelope

Start by crafting your envelope with the unique closure design. Use a hole punch or screw punch to make a hole in both the envelope flap and the pocket. Attach a paper fastener to the envelope section and thread it through the smallest flower on the envelope flap.

Then, tie a gold cord around the lower fastener, which can be wrapped around the flower to secure the envelope closed.

Step 4: Creating the Pop-Up Elements

Apply a bit of craft glue to the stamen of the amaryllis flowers, then sprinkle glitter over the glue to add a touch of sparkle.

Next, fold along the score lines on the paperwhite flowers. Apply glue to the tab, fold it over, and press to secure the flower shape.

Attach the paperwhites along the fold of the envelope liner using craft glue as shown above.

Fold the ends of the amaryllis leaves to create a tab, then attach them just a bit away from the fold of the envelope liner.

Add a dab of craft glue to the center of the larger amaryllis petals.

Next, place the smaller amaryllis petals to the glue while aligning the cut out holes.

Thread the stamen end tab through the front of the amaryllis and adhere to the back of the amaryllis.

Repeat the above steps to create your second amaryllis.

To attach the amaryllises to the envelope liner, first add a dab of glue to the back of the top/center amaryllis petal.

Adhere the top/center amaryllis petal of the second amaryllis to the glue so that the flowers backs face each other.

Next, add glue to the back of the bottom amaryllis petals on both flowers.

Lastly, place the amaryllises centered between the paperwhite flowers, about an inch away from the envelope liner’s fold.

Allow to fully dry before handling.

That completes your beautiful Christmas bouquet pop-up envelope card!

  2. Thank you Shannon! It’s such a fun way to jazz up an existing envelope. And the envelope won’t be ripped so can be used again!
