Getting your free design from the Gilded Stork Design Files Library

To begin, head over to the Gilded Stork Design Files library here and download the Layered Easter Egg Card SVG design. Once you have it, upload the design to your Cricut Design Space.

Creating Score Lines in Cricut Design Space

After uploading the design to Cricut Design Space, navigate to the layers panel and select all three vertical lines. Once they’re selected, switch these lines from basic cut lines to score lines in the operation dropdown menu. Then, attach the score line to the card layer positioned beneath it.

Cutting the Layers with Your Cricut

Once you’ve created and attached the score lines to the appropriate layers, it’s time to cut! Simply follow the prompts on your Cricut machine to load the four different cardstock sheets, then proceed with scoring and cutting.

Assembling the Card

After all the layers have been scored and cut, carefully lift them from the cutting mat. Use a bone folder to ensure crisp folds along the score lines.

Begin assembling the card by placing the top layer onto the next layer, securing them together with double-sided tape. Make sure to keep the scalloped folds positioned at the back of the accordion card for a neat finish. The image above displays the accordion card from the rear, while the one below showcases the front of the card.
