Craft these DIY favor gift boxes using your Cricut machine.
Create these delightful DIY favor gift boxes with our free downloadable SVG files and your Cricut machine. They’re perfect for adding a personal touch to your Thanksgiving or Christmas table. The wreath design is versatile, making it ideal for both fall and winter holidays, while the Christmas ball ornament is a timeless classic for the Christmas holiday season.
You can even use them as a creative place card—just use your Cricut pen or foil tool to write your guests’ names before cutting out the design. These easy-to-make boxes will add a festive touch to any celebration, just add mints or nuts!

After uploading the free SVG design to Cricut Design Space, place it onto your canvas. For the two lines above the base, change their operation type to “Score” to mark them as score lines. Then, attach the score lines to the base to ensure they stay in place during cutting. If you don’t have a scoring tool, simply delete these lines.
Now is the time to add your guest’s name to the box if you would like your box to also serve as a place card. Find out what my favourite free handwriting fonts are in Cricut Design Space here.
Follow the prompts in Cricut Design Space to score and cut the design. If you’re adding names to the favor boxes, it will also guide you through the drawing process.
To assemble the favor boxes, start by folding along the score lines and add double-sided tape to the tabs.
Then, gently fold the middle pieces inward to form the sides of the box. Next, secure the tabs inside the box.
Finally, attach the decorative elements—either the layered wreath or the Christmas ball ornament cap.
For an extra touch, I added small dots of glitter glue around the wreath to give it a bit more sparkle and interest.
After filling with mints, candies, or nuts, tie to close using a pretty ribbon.
