Use this cupcake topper Cricut SVG to add a Spring touch to your dessert this Easter.
Truthfully, anything glued to a toothpick or food skewer can be a cupcake or cake topper! The Scandinavian Patterned Bird Ornament SVG design from the Gilded Stork shop makes for a lovely cupcake or cake topper as well!

Cutting Your Cupcake Topper’s Flowers
After downloading the cupcake topper Cricut SVG designs from the library, upload the file Design Space. Next, cut out on your Cricut machine using a handful of cardstocks in a cohesive color palette. I used pink, green, and cream cardstock (this is my favourite card stock!).
Putting Your Cupcake Toppers Together
Start by arranging the flowers and petals as you would like the completed cupcake toppers to look.
Adding Dimension Using 3D Tape
To make these cupcake toppers really “pop” is by adding dimension using 3D tape. You may use standard foam tape (readily available at your local craft store, dollar store, or online here).
You can also make your own 3D tape using double-sided tape and corrugated cardboard.
Simply add a strip of double-sided tape to either side of the corrugated cardboard. Then cut the cardboard into small bite-size pieces.
You may find the best approach is to use a few different types of glue/tape to put the toppers together, as I did.
Start by using some white glue, a glue stick, or double-sided tape to adhere the elements that have no dimension, such as the flower centers and some petals.
Then use your 3D tape to adhere the pieces you would like to “pop”.
Lastly, use a hot glue gun to securely adhere a toothpick or food skewer to the cupcake topper. I wedged the skewer beside a piece of 3D tape, so that the glue was hidden between two flowers.
The above two images show two ways the cupcake topper Cricut SVG can be arranged. There are countless other ways! See if you can make a batch of cupcakes and make a unique flower topper for each.
