Materials you will need:

 

Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker

Cricut Standard Grip Mat

Cricut Scoring Stylus (for Explore machine) or Scoring Wheel (for Maker machine)

Cardstock (I used green, yellow, and pink)

Double Sided Adhesive

Ribbon

How to Make the Cricut Gift Box

 

Begin by uploading the free design to Cricut Design Space. Score and cut following Cricut Designs Space’s prompts.

If you have chosen the diamond box SVG with windows, decide if you would like to cut out shapes to place in the windows, or if you would like to leave them open.

If you have chosen to fill the windows, place strips of double sided adhesive tape to the edges of windows on the inside of the box.

Secure the cut triangles to the adhesive, pressing down firmly with your finger.

Place double sided adhesive tape on the box’s tabs.

Next, proceed to build the box, working around while fastening the tabs to their corresponding positions.

Do not secure the tabs where the top triangle has a closure tab. This will allow you to have a door to place your gift into.

To add a ribbon, cut a 6 inch strip of ribbon then tie a knot to create a loop.

Place the knotted end into the doorway at the top of the diamond. When the box is fully closed, the ribbon will stay secured.
