Make custom Christmas crackers using your Cricut and these free SVG designs
These Christmas crackers are incredibly easy to make with your Cricut machine using the free SVG templates available in the Gilded Stork Design Files Library.
For me, Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without Christmas crackers! They’re a festive tradition in my family, complete with the cheesy tissue paper crown, the corny joke, and that little plastic trinket that often ends up discarded. It’s all part of the charm! But if you’re looking for something a bit more personal or elegant, making your own crackers allows you to customize them with thoughtful gifts or treats your loved ones will actually enjoy.
I’ve created two different Christmas cracker designs for you to choose from: one with a straight edge and one with a scalloped edge. You’ll only need a Cricut machine, some cardstock, and ribbon to bring these festive beauties to life.

Open Cricut Design Space and upload the free SVG template.
Once it’s in your canvas, make sure to adjust the top lines so they are set as score lines. You can do this under the “Operations” dropdown menu. Be sure to then attach them in place at the bottom of the layers panel.
Next, follow Design Space prompts to score and cut out your Christmas cracker. If you don’t have a scoring tool for your machine, simply delete the score lines from the design and manually score the cardstock using a ruler and a craft knife or bone folder.
After removing from your mat, fold along each score line.
Then, bring the tabs together and insert them into the designated slots to create the classic cracker shape.
Now, the fun part! Fill your cracker with your chosen treats, small gifts, or personalized notes. Then, tie each end with ribbon for that final festive touch and to secure the content inside.
