How to make a scalloped edged, vintage botanical note card

Download both the free SVG file and the PDF file from the template library.

Open the PDF file and print out using a color printer. I printed mine on this pink cardstock using this printer.

Next, cut out the printed botanical by hand using a pair of scissors. The edge will be hidden so do not worry about having a perfect cut.

Then, using your Cricut, upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space and cut both the base of the card, and the scalloped edge top.

Use a craft knife and ruler to score the card base in order to create a clean fold (as shown above).

Lastly, adhere the botanical printout to the card base, and the scalloped frame on top of the botanical.

Now we know what tools and materials are needed, how to find and download free SVG cards, and how to make them with our Cricut. Following are nine more card designs for any occasion!

2. A Moroccan tile-inspired note card that works for weddings, anniversaries, and more!

3. A sweet night sky note card, perfect for a baby shower invitation or gift

4. & 5. Summer fruit card designs

Make a friend smile by adding a relevant pun inside! “I a-peach-iate you!” or “I like you berry much”, “You’re the berry best”.

6. 7. & 8. For Mother’s Day, Mom’s birthday, or just to thank Mom for being Mom, she will love one of these cards for Mom

9. & 10. Let Dad know he’s the best with one of these cards! Ideal for Father’s Day, birthday’s, or a “Thank you”

When I was a child, my mom kept a plastic tupperware box, stuffed to the brim with blank cards, envelopes, stamps, and an address book. Whenever we needed to send a “thank you” or attend a birthday party, we would pull out that box and select the appropriate card. As a stationery and paper-obsessed girl, this was like a treasure box – always so much fun to browse through!

Usually I find myself most inspired to craft with my Cricut when there is a specific purpose in mind, such as an upcoming holiday, or event. Maybe it is making a Christmas ornament, a Fall wreath, or a birthday card. The opposite side to this, when there is no event in the near future to craft for, I can find myself uninspired to create. I now try to remember that this is the perfect time to add to my own stock of just-incase cards.

Always have a card on hand with these Free SVG Cards for Cricut
