This printable Easter egg garland DIY can be made using a Cricut cutting machine, however no worries if you don’t have a Cricut! The garland can just as easily be printed and cut out by hand.
Regardless of the holiday, garlands are my favorite way to add seasonal decor. There is something so charming about a handful of sweet items strung together. Plus, they can be draped over banisters, mirrors, art, bookshelves, tables, chairs…Just about anywhere!

Printing Your Eggs
After downloading the Easter Egg PDF from the library, open your PDF using Acrobat Reader or with your search browser, navigate to “File” in the upper left corner, and then select “Print”. Any color printer should work with printing onto a lightweight cardstock or paper (I have the Canon Pixma PRO-100 printer which can print on heavier weight cardstocks with ease).
If using a Cricut Machine, upload the JPG Easter Egg file to Design Space and select the “print and cut” option. Follow Design Space’s instructions for printing and cutting out the eggs.
Cutting Your Flowers
Download the flower SVG from the library, upload to Design Space, and cut out on your Cricut machine using a handful of cardstocks in a cohesive color. I used pink, green, and cream.
Putting Your Easter Egg Garland DIY Together
Begin by arranging your eggs and flowers as you would like the completed garland to look.
Next, use a hole punch or screw punch (what I used) to cut a hole where you would like the individual pieces to connect.
Then adhere the flower centers and petals together using glue or double-sided tape.
Lastly, choose a ribbon, cord, or string to thread through the holes created to complete your Easter Egg Garland DIY.
Tips if you don’t have a Cricut Machine
If you don’t have a Cricut, you might find cutting the flowers and petals out to be a challenge. You may choose to go without. Feel free to get creative with this craft! Stringing faux flowers between the eggs would be a wonderful alternative!
This garland uses vintage scientific illustrations of eggs. When you think of vintage nature illustrations, your mind probably goes to botanicals and butterflies. I was honestly surprised in my research for this project at the vast amount of different eggs! Some appear to be naturally marbled, others with tortoise shell-like patterns, and ever one totally unique. The natural colors and elements of this printable DIY Easter egg garland will work with and complement any decor style.
