From childhood into my teenage years, I would always make handmade cards for friends and family on birthdays and holidays. Handmaking cards was a creative outlet for me. I at one point even had a small business selling my cards online and at craft fairs. Now with the busyness of life, I often find it difficult to make time for crafting. Yet for some reason, I have this expectation I’ve put on myself that if I don’t have a handmade card, I won’t give a card at all. How can the girl that has always gifted custom handmade cards even think about giving a purchased hallmark card!? This thought is silly, trust me, I know! But don’t we all get trapped sometimes with self-imposed expectations?
